Premiere: 'Suicide Squad'

by - Wednesday, August 03, 2016

Frankly, I didn't have much expectation for 'Suicide Squad' considering the terrible ratings it received on Rotten Tomato and many other film critics. And to be very honest, these film critics and reviews are getting really really nonsensical. Who knows it might be a marketing strategy to be shooting down these films before it is even released so that people have lower expectations, and have higher take-aways instead when watching the film? Well you'll never know.

Here's a couple of things to note if you are going to catch 'Suicide Squad' at your nearest cinema in the next couple of days, or weeks.

1 Do NOT watch it in 3D.

Trust me on this, guys. It may be cool that you're wearing dem 3D glasses and catching your favorite villain right in front of your face, but no. That's not what you will be getting from the film. The things that will be 3D are your flying objects and drifting raindrops. Apart from those, it's better to enjoy the film in its most original state. The 3D effect made the entire film more trippy than enjoyable, and it pretty much ruined the film. Because there is going to be so much actions and fast cuts going on, 3D is really not the way to go for this film.

2 Avoid purchasing beverages because you wouldn't wanna run to the wash room in between.

I know, I know. You get all excited and all and you want to enjoy the film with popcorns and soft drinks. That moment of excitement might cause you a huge disappointment if you ever need to make a trip to the washroom though.

Every single second is important in the film. Things are constantly changing, every single minute tells a hell lot of details. I've overheard people who felt so disappointed because they missed a part of the movie when they go to the toilet. There are also people literally running back to the cinema because they can't wait to continue from where they left off.

'Suicide Squad' is a movie that keeps you at the edge of your seat. Keeping you excited from the very first minute, till the last. The film was pieced in a way where there are plenty of back-stories going on, and then got placed together as a whole without following your usual film guidelines.

There isn't a usual build-up, you don't have a draggy asf 65 minutes introduction to the film, neither do they have long ass dialogues that seems unnecessary. Though there are a couple of scenes, where the character honestly feels redundant.

Even at their very last moment, the film throws in a mini "surprise" for the audience. Something pretty expected, but would definitely satisfy that inner film-fanatic in you.

My favorite part of the film is no doubt the love story between Harley Quinn and Joker. Like what many articles mentioned, the relationship between Harley Quinn and Joker is different from what it is in the actual comic. I am not going to spoil Jared Leto's Joker, but all of you are definitely in for a treat. You'll look at Joker in a different light, and their love story in a total point of view.

Good bye, psychotic mad-man. Hello, romantic psycho.

I especially love Margot Robbie's performance as the Harley Quinn! There wasn't a single moment I felt that she isn't suitable. Okay, maybe she's a little too cute when she is all dressed up, but she is still smoking hawt despite that teeny girl-in-love vibe going on all around her.... Plus SHE IS FUCKING HAWT OHMYGOD HOW CAN ANYONE SAY SHE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR HARLEY QUINN?!

You'll probably be very disappointed if you are expecting some actions from Batman and Superman. Well, it's 'Suicide Squad'? It's all about the bad guys, like c'mon. Okay, maybe there's a couple of unnecessary cameo, to be very honest, it's really really unnecessary. Their appearance doesn't at all make the 'Suicide Squad' look in any way bad. Instead, the appearance of Batman in 'Suicide Squad' made Batman look super useless........... or as what Harley always says, "Pussy."

Margot Robbie aside, there was Cara Delevingne too. HOW CAN 2 SMOKING HAWT LADIES BE IN ONE FILM IS IT YOU WANT TO SET THE CINEMA ON FIRE?!

I love love love loveeeee Cara's Enchantress look. Definitely not when she turned into that weird sister from the dark side, that outfit is hideous /facepalm.

She looks so much better in this full black outfit?! Especially when she crouches on the floor and give that glare, GYAHHHH. I died. I know, I know, I'm a girl, but I still died. Because Cara as the Enchantress was pure amazing. I really hate how the movie was shorten tho.. There were more scenes that were cut off because it didn't pass the "movie standard". 'Suicide Squad' could easily be rated as R21, if the cut scenes were included into the final cut. That is something that really saddens me to no end, sigh.

Anyway, catch Suicide Squad at your nearest cinema now and be blownnnnn awayyyyyyyy by Margot Robbie & Cara Delevingne's hotness.

I'M GOING TO WATCH IT FOR A SECOND TIME THIS COMING SATURDAY WEETS.
